King Kittan!

Background:
Kittan was born in the undeground village of Bachika (where his last name comes from). His
life there was uneventful - he was frequently possessed by an urge to escape, to explore, but
he didn't have any clear idea of where to go. His entire world was a cramped cave.
This changed when a massive mecha crashed through the ceiling of the village, and started
attacking the villagers at random. Kiyal, the youngest of Kittan's three sisters, got the
idea of using some of the explosives used for mining and expanding the village to attack the
invader. Kittan and his three sisters executed her plan, destroying the mecha and saving the
village.
After the commotion died down, Kittan decided that his calling was to go back through the
tunnel left by the invading robot, and determine what it was and where it came from. The
elders of his village agreed to let him go, providing him with basic provisions and a decent
stockpile of the explosived he used to defeat the last mecha, in addition to teaching him how
to make more. Despite his insistence that they stay where they were safe, his sisters refused
to let him go on his own, so the four of them headed to the surface.
The surface was a fairly inhospitable place, but the Black Siblings (as Kittan named their
group) managed to survive, hunting and foraging for food and usually hiding from the Beastmen
who roamed the surface in their mecha. The turning point in Kittan's story was when he
encountered Kamina, mistakening his mecha for an enemy, then attacking him and "rescuing" his
apprentice Simon. Eventually the confusion was sorted out, and Kamina and Kittan briefly
joined forces to fight against a sixteen-headed beastman mecha, eventualy sorting out their
differences. Kamina declared Kittan as a new member of the Gurren Brigade, then went on to
continue his search for the Beastmen base, and Kittan and his sisters went on their way.
Inspired by Kamina's act of stealing an enemy mecha, Kittan followed suit, stealing an enemy
mecha and renaming it King Kittan. Using his newfound weapon, Kittan and his sisters set off
again, but with a new goal - instead of simply surviving while taking potshots at the
occasional passing Beastman, Kittan was now determined to bring down the Beastman army once
and for all.
Kittan first came across the village of Bakusa, which had already discovered the surface, and
was living there uneasily. He tried to rally them to fight against the Beastmen, but they
didn't have any weapons strong enough to stand a chance against the Beastmen's powerful
machines. Only two people there expressed a desire to stand and fight - a pair of
enthusiastic, if somewhat dim, twins named Jougan and Barinbou.
While Kittan was staying at Bakusa village, it was attacked by a mecha piloted by two
Beastmen. While fighting it, Kittan had an idea - he disabled it, and forced the pilots out,
and had Jougan and Barinbou take their place. After saving the village, the twins asked to
come with him and fight against the beastmen. Kittan accepted, and set off to find other
villages to recruit more warriors. Two villages later, he had acquired three more allies:
Zoushi from Kanai village, and Kidd and Ailac from Coega village.
Shortly after acquiring Mecha for Kidd and Ailac, Kittan found Kamina's trail. Feeling
properly armed this time, Kittan followed it, reconnecting with Kamina's group while they
were locked in battle with the massive mobile fortress Dai-Gunzan. After disabling it long
enough to escape, Kamina and Kittan's groups joined forces, forming the Great Gurren Brigade.
The next day, the Great Gurren Brigade launched an attack with the goal of capturing
Dai-Gunzan. Eventually, the capture was successful, but Kamina died in the battle. With the
Gurren Brigade in sorrow and disarray, Kittan declared himself the new leader, and set a
course for the Beastman capitol, Teppelin.
On the way to the capitol, Kittan was brought to Memento Eden.
Personality:
Kittan and Kamina share a great many similarities, foremost being their overpowering
confidence and determination. The two are similar enough as to get on one another's nerves.
Kittan could be described as "enthusiastic" or "blindly impulsive," depending on whether or
not you like him. Either way, once he gets an idea in his head, there's little you can do to
stop him from seeing it through to completion. If someone tells him that he can't do
something, his first response is anger, usually followed by violence, usually followed by
trying to prove them wrong. Kittan doesn't take losing well. Frequently this can lead him to jump headfirst into a situation before realizing how dangerous it is.
Despite his abrasive impression, Kittan does genuinely care about the people around him,
although he's not great at expressing it. He has a habit of trying to protect people who insist on not needing protection. Especially women, which can make him seem more sexist than he really is. It's not that he doesn't respect women or think they can be strong, he just wants to protect them. He loves kids.
Kittan has the heart of a warrior, and is not afraid to die in battle if it's for a good cause. He enjoys a good ass-kicking as much as the next guy, but doesn't really get into a battle unless he has a solid reason to.
